1860 also produced the first major obverse type, the Pointed Bust. These were struck with the same hub as the 1859 cent and feature a pointed, rather than the typical rounded tip on the neck truncation. It's very scarce and as early as 1996 neither of the major coin grading services had taken notice of them.
